Woman allegedly abducted on Gold Coast found ‘safe and well’

UPDATE @ 1.50 PM | A woman who was the subject of an urgent search after she was allegedly abducted at Carrara has been found.

Police confirmed the woman was located safe and well on the Gold Coast a short time ago.

A 51-year-old man is assisting police with investigations.

EARLIER @ 1.30 PM | Police are appealing for urgent help to find a woman believed to have been abducted from her home at Carrara.

Around midday, a 51-year-old man reportedly forced the 48-year-old woman into a 4WD at a house on Pappas Way before fleeing in a southerly direction.

Police say the man, who is known to her, allegedly made threats to harm the woman, with serious concerns being held for her welfare.

It is believed the man is driving a silver Toyota Landcruiser with New South Wales registration CN70ER.

Officers are conducting an urgent search to locate the woman and are urging anyone who sees the vehicle, not to approach it, but to call Triple Zero (000) immediately.
