An ‘enhanced cannabis cultivation’ operation will be dismantled by Police later today, following a fire at a Sydney home.
Emergency services were called to the blaze at a house on Percy Street in Bankstown about 6.15pm on Saturday,
Officers from Fire & Rescue NSW contained the fire to the front room of the house, but when they entered the building to check if anyone was inside, they discovered the hydroponic set up.

The site was handed over to Bankstown Police Area Command about 8.15pm, after it was declared safe, and officers kept guard at the scene overnight
It was expected to be declared a crime scene today.
Police believe at least five rooms are being used for the cultivation of cannabis and it will be dismantled later today.
No one was found on the premises and inquiries are now underway into the identity of those responsible.
