Intruders on the run after residents belted with baseball bat in Qld

Two men are on the run from police after they allegedly invaded a home north of Brisbane and belted those inside with a baseball bat.

Police are referring to the incident as “burglary with violence”, saying the two men allegedly forced their way into the Thompson Crescent home in Clontarf at around 5am on Monday.

In a statement released to media, police said the two intruders – one of whom was armed with a baseball bat – demanded money from two male residents and bashed them with the bat before fleeing on foot.
