Children will be able to stretch out in style on Virgin Australia flights, with the company announcing they’ll allow kid’s sleeping devices on board.
The airline initially rejected the idea, but after three months of safety tests, Virgin flights will now allow the Plane Pal, Fly Tot and Jet Kids Bed Box.
Sleeping aids like bed boxes, leg hammocks and inflatable cushions aren’t allowed on Qantas, Jetstar and Air New Zealand flights due to safety concerns.

Virgin Australia General Manager of Inflight Experience, Tash Tobias, said they want to make flying as easy as possible for parents.
“We know that travelling with kids can be a stressful experience and we want to make it as smooth as possible for the families that fly with us,” she said.
