Knife-wielding thief on the run after holding up Logan tobacconist

AN armed thief remains on the run this morning after holding up a tobacconist in Marsden on Thursday night.

Just after 6pm a man entered the business on Chambers Flat Road, armed with a knife.

He then demanded money from a female staff member before quickly fleeing the store on foot after noticing someone else walking into the store.

The thief was last seen riding a bicycle south along Chambers Flat Road.

He’s  described as Caucasian in appearance, approximately 187cm tall, is of a slim build and was last seen wearing a grey hooded jumper and a balaclava.

Anyone with information is urged to contact police.
