UPDATE: A grass fire is within containment lines at Wongawallan.
The blaze broke out on Monday and rural crews used back burning to coax it under control off Welches Road on Tuesday.
It is still being monitored and is still producing some smoke haze.

EARLIER: One rural crew is on the scene in the vicinity of Welches Road and two other crews are expected to assist if needed later on Tuesday morning.
Firefighters are conducting backburning to contain the fire.
The Rural Fire Service says no property is at threat at this time however a smoke hazard is affecting the area.
Nearby residents are advised to close windows and doors and keep medications for respiratory conditions close by.
There’s also been reports of smoke haze around the area and motorists are being urged to take caution if affected.
EARLIER: Nine Rural Fire crews are on scene at a large vegetation fire burning in the vicinity of Welches Rd, Wongawallan.
