Life lost in fiery Gold Coast crash

Investigators are appealing for witnesses, following a shocking fatal crash on the Gold Coast.

It’s believed the driver of the car lost control on Castle Hill Drive in Gaven around 2.15am on Sunday, before smashing into a tree.

The vehicle caught alight and the driver and sole occupant died at the scene.

Their identity, including gender and age, is yet to be released by Police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the cause of the crash and urges anyone who may have seen it to contact them.
