A MOCK photo showing international superstar Lily Allen being handcuffed by police at Gold Coast Airport at the weekend is now at the centre of an Australian Federal Police investigation.
The 29-year-old British singer-songwriter touched down on the Gold Coast just before 1.30pm on Sunday ahead of her scheduled headline act at the Splendour in the Grass festival south of the border later that night.

Upon being escorted through the terminal, Allen requested that a uniformed Australian Federal Police officer pretend to arrest her for a photo opportunity.
An officer obliged and the controversial performer then posted the image of the prank to more than 4.7 million people on social media.
The photo received thousands of hits and shares before it was deleted.
In a statement to media, the AFP confirmed that officers were “caught up in the moment” and “standard protocols were breached”.
The incident is now subject to an internal investigation.
