TWO Gold Coasters have been named the wildcard recipients for the 2014/15 Nutri-Grain IronWoman Series.
Brodie Moir and Emma Dick, will join pre-qualified athletes and the top-four finishers from last weekend’s trials in this year’s series.
Current World IronWoman Champion and 2012 Coolangatta Gold winner, Brodie Moir said she is excited to be granted a wildcard for this season.

“I had to withdraw from the trials due to a knee injury so I really wanted this wildcard as I know I have given myself the opportunity to rehabilitate my knee and get ready for the first race. I am so motivated to get back to my previous form,” said Moir.
Fello local Emma Dick, who finished in 5th place in last weekend’s trials, said she was thrilled to make the series.
“I am so excited to get a wildcard for the IronWoman Series. I had a good season last year and I reached my goal of finishing in the top ten and I want to do even better this year. I had a few unfortunate waves in the trials and I was devastated at not getting through, so to be given a wildcard is great,“ said Dick.
Nutri-Grain Brand Manager, Natasha Neilson the calibre of athletes competing this year is incredible.
“The talent competing in this year’s Nutri-Grain IronMan and IronWoman Series is unbelievable and we are thrilled that Brodie and Emma are back to compete alongside the likes of Courtney Hancock and Liz Pluimers,” said Nutri-Grain Brand Manager, Natasha Neilson.
Nutri-Grain IronMan Series wildcards as per previously announced are Ali Day and Wes Berg.
Races 1& 2 will be held at Smiths Beach WA on November 29 and 30. Dates and locations for Rounds 3-6 will be announced in the coming weeks.
