A senior constable from the South Eastern Region has been stood down from official duty with the Queensland Police Service.
The 45-year-old man is accused of accessing confidential information on police computers.
He’s been charged with computer hacking and misuse, and is due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on July 30.

In the meantime, he has been tasked to perform non-operational duties.
“In keeping with our commitment to high standards of behaviour, transparency and accountability, we have undertaken to inform the public when an officer faces serious allegations of misconduct,” Qld police said in a statement.
“This does not mean the allegations against the officer have been substantiated.”
