A GOLD Coast woman has taken home a cool $7.9 million after winning half last night’s $15 million Powerball jackpot.
The overjoyed woman in her 40s was one of two division one winners and scored a first division share and other divisional prizes totalling $7,903,348.19.
She said she’ll be able to fulfil her dream to travel.

“I’ve been waiting for your phone call this morning!” the ecstatic winner exclaimed to a Golden Casket official.
“I checked my ticket last night in bed and I recognised my numbers straight away. I wouldn’t let myself believe I’d won until I got this phone call from Golden Casket! I was so calm until now!
“I stayed up all night working out what I’ll do with my Powerball prize money.
“I’m going to buy myself a home; something with an ocean view because that’s all I’ve ever wanted. Then I want to set my family up for the future, give some money to family and some to charity.
“Finally I want to travel – Europe here I come! I’ve never had the chance to travel and now I can,” the excited winner added.
The new multi-millionaire purchased her division one winning PowerHit entry online from Tatts.com. By playing a PowerHit entry, the winner was guaranteed the winning Powerball number and she won an additional $354,214.15 in divisional prizes.
Last night two entries shared in Powerball’s $15 million jackpot draw with each entry winning a first division share worth $7,549,134.04.
Aside from the winning entry from Queensland, the other first division Powerball prize was purchased online in the Northern Territory.
The winning numbers in Powerball draw 965 on Thursday 13 November 2014 were 5, 7, 19, 4, 14 and 28. The Powerball was 18.
Powerball will offer a $3 million division one prize next Thursday, while Oz Lotto has jackpotted to $5 million for Tuesday’s draw!
