Motorists are being urged to avoid the Pacific Motorway tonight following a fatal accident at Coomera.
Queensland Police have confirmed one person has been killed in a traffic crash in the northbound lanes.
It’s understood the accident happened between Exit 54 Foxwell Road and Exit 49 Pimpama-Jacobs Well Road around 5.30pm on Wednesday.

At least two lanes have been closed with long delays being experienced.
At the time of writing, southbound traffic was banked up from Coomera all the way back to Yatala.
Northbound motorists are stuck in gridlock from Coomera back to Helensvale, with side roads also heavily congested.
