The top seller over the six days was a colt that was sold to Melbourne-based trainer Lloyd Kennewell for $1.7 million.
The sales finished up on Tuesday with $1.7 million grossed from Book Three of the Gold Coast Yearling Sale and the Gold Coast Summer Racehorse Sale.
“Today was a great way to finish off what has been an incredibly successful carnival,” Magic Millions Managing Director Barry Bowditch said.
“To break last year’s record was a goal, but to turn it into a reality is an incredible achievement for all involved.”
“I’d like to congratulate buyers and vendors and thank everyone who has played their part in making this event an enormous success,” Bowditch added.
The entire Magic Millions Carnival has been hailed a major success as it continues to go from strength to strength.
Thousands of people turned out to the sales, the Magic Millions Polo, the beach race and barrier draw at Surfers Paradise and Magic Millions Race Day.
Organisers say they’re thrilled with the 2019 event and plan to make it even bigger in 2020.
