UPDATE @ 06.00AM: Tram services are back up and running after fears of hour-long delays this morning.
TransLink has confirmed services have resumed between the Gold Coast University Hospital and Helensvale.
There had been some delays after overnight track work ran longer than planned.

EARLIER @ 05.00AM: Anyone planning on using Gold Coast trams this morning is being warned of major delays on the service.
Translink has said services are suspended in both directions between the Gold Coast University Hospital GCUH and Helensvale Station due to late finishing track work.
Customers are being warned of delays of up to 60 minutes.
Translink is working to arrange alternative transport for those who may be affected.
Technicians are on site working to finish the upgrades.
