Man, 21, arrested after cops find million-dollar marijuana crop

POLICE will destroy more than $1 million worth of marijuana, found growing in Sydney’s north west.

Strike Force police seized 346 cannabis plants and hydroponic equipment from a property on Castle Hill Road, near Old Northern Road, at Castle Hill on Wednesday morning.

A NSW Police spokesperson said the plants had an estimated potential street value of more than $1 million.


A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Castle Hill Police Station where he was charged with large commercial cultivation of prohibited plant, and stealing electricity.

The Malaysian National has been remanded in custody and will in Parramatta Local Court tomorrow.
