A MAN has been airlifted to hospital with back and head injuries after falling from a walking track near the Queensland-New South Wales border.
It’s understood the man, believed to be aged in his 30s, was walking along a trail near Carool Road at Carool, about 13km inland of Tweed Heads, when he fell shortly before midday.
The man was assessed by paramedics at the scene before being flown to the Gold Coast Uni Hospital.

Queensland Ambulance said the man was transported in a stable condition with back and neck injuries.
