Man allegedly used ‘shopping bag fitted with camera’ to film up women’s skirts

A MAN has been charged after he allegedly used a shopping bag fitted with a camera to film up women’s skirts.

The 27-year-old was arrested on Saturday after he was detained by security guards at a shopping centre on Pitt Street in Sydney’s CBD.

Police seized the man’s mobile phone and found over two thousand photographs and videos allegedly depicting women being filmed without their consent at shopping centres and railway stations across Sydney.

The man was taken to Day Street Police Station where was charged with two counts of filming a person’s private parts without consent.

He was granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday 11 July.

Police say inquiries into the incident are ongoing.
