A MAN is this afternoon fighting for his life in hospital after almost being mauled to death by two dogs in a savage attack at a house in Sydney’s west.
Paramedics were called to reports of a dog attack at a home on Vincennes Avenue in Tregear about 1pm.
They arrived to find a 41-year-old man in cardiac arrest, and a woman and child with multiple bites.

The man was treated at the scene before being rushed to Westmead Hospital in a critical condition.
He reportedly sustained multiple life-threatening wounds after being mauled by not one but two dogs.
A 30-year-old woman and her 10-year-old daughter were also attacked and bitten by both dogs.
They too have been transported by ambulance to Westmead Hospital.
Their injuries, however, are not as severe.
It”s understood a Careflight rescue helicopter was dispatched to the scene.
Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the awful incident and have secured the dogs.
