Man and woman with serious burns after ‘aerosol can incident’

A MAN and a woman have been rushed to hospital with serious burns following an incident with an aerosol can on the Gold Coast.

Paramedics were called to a home at Mermaid Beach about 10.52pm last night where they found the couple aged in their 30s with burns.

Queensland Ambulance said the woman was found with serious burns to her fingers and arms, while the man had moderate burns to his back.

The exact circumstances surrounding the incident, or how the pair sustained the burns was not immediately clear.

Queensland Ambulance said the incident appeared to have involved an aerosol can.

Both the man and the woman were treated by paramedics at the scene before being transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

The woman was transported in a serious but stable condition, while the man was stable.
