POLICE are on the hunt for a man who attempted to hold-up a restaurant in Ashmore this morning.
Around 9.15am a man entered the Ashmore Road premises through a rear door.
He approached two staff members in the kitchen area while armed with a handgun and made demands for money.

Staff told him there was no money on the premises and the man left the restaurant through the rear door.
The offender was described as 175cm tall, thin build with an Australian accent. He was wearing a black hoodie and a black mask.
No one was physically injured during the incident.
Investigations are continuing.
