A MAN is in custody, being questioned by police following the discovery of a woman’s body in Sydney’s west.
The woman was found with fatal injuries in a unit on Sandal Crescent at Carramar just before 1.30pm on Saturday.
In a statement, police said paramedics tried reviving the woman but she could not be saved and died at the scene.

The woman’s age is not known. Police say she is yet to be formally identified.
It’s understood a man tried running from the scene but was arrested a short time later following a short foot pursuit.
He has been taken to Fairfield Police Station where he is being questioned by detectives over the woman’s death.
The man’s involvement in the incident, if any, isn’t clear. It is not yet known if he lived at the unit, or knew the victim.
The Sandal Crescent property has been declared a crime scene and was crawling with police on Saturday afternoon.
