A man’s allegedly been caught driving a car which had only three functioning tyres along the M1 freeway on the Central Coast.
Police were called to the freeway at about 10pm on Sunday where they found a white Mitsubishi Magna travelling in the north bound lanes.
Officers noticed one of the back tyres was completely flat and was running on the rim.

They pulled the driver over three kilometres north of the Morisset exit but he tried to continue north at approximately 100km/h.
As the vehicle stopped, the man behind the wheel got out and ran off into scrub on the median strip.
He was caught after a brief chase and reportedly failed a roadside breath test. Police will allege that the man failed to provide an adequate sample during a breath analysis.
The 31-year-old man was subsequently charged with driving in a manner dangerous, drive whilst disqualified, resist arrest, fail to undertake a breath analysis and four outstanding warrants.
He was refused bail to appear at Newcastle Bail Court today.
