A man has reportedly been attacked by a shark while swimming in waters in the New South Wales Illawarra region.
Paramedics have been called to Windang beach, south of Port Kembla.
It’s understood the 60-year-old man was bitten just after 8am.

The man was treated on scene by members of the surf club before paramedics arrived.
NSW Ambulance says the man sustained a bite down to the bone of his left foot and has also suffered ligament damage.
It’s not clear at this stage what type of shark is responsible.
