Man bashed to death in park

A CRIME scene has been setup at a park in Sydney’s southwest where a man has been bashed to death.

Police were called to reports of two men fighting in a park on the corner of Morison Drive and Hill Road at Lurnea just before 5pm on Sunday.

When officers arrived, they found a man clinging to life with critical injuries.,

Police performed CPR on the man until paramedics arrived and took over treatment.

Despite their best efforts, however, the victim could not be saved.

Police confirmed the man later died from his injuries at Liverpool Hospital. His age is not known.

A crime scene has been established and investigations into the incident are continuing.
