Man bashed with ‘tree branches and sticks’ in violent robbery

A MAN has been robbed of his wallet and bag after being attacked by a group of teens in Logan Central overnight.

It’s understood the 55-year-old was walking through parklands near Civic Parade when he was confronted by the group, believed to be aged between 16 and 18.

He was then allegedly bashed with tree branches and sticks before the teens fled with his wallet and a bag.

The victim was treated at the scene by paramedics for abrasions to his head and right arm before being taken to Logan Hospital.

Police are urging anyone who may have seen the group in the area around the time of the incident or have any information about the incident to contact police.
