Man bitten by suspected red-bellied black snake in Qld

A man has been bitten by a suspected red-bellied black snake in Queensland this afternoon.

Paramedics rushed to Sports Road in Bli Bli on the Sunshine Coast just after 2.10pm following reports a man had been bitten by a snake.

The man, believed to be aged in his 40s, was rushed to Nambour Hospital for treatment.
