Man carjacked while cleaning car at car wash

A MAN has been threatened and had his car stolen at a car wash in Ipswich, west of Brisbane.

The man was cleaning his vehicle at the Brisbane Road business at Goodna about 6.45pm when an unknown man walked up and demanded the keys to his car.

Police said the offender threatened the owner before driving off in his 2010 white Holden Commodore with Queensland registration 640RWV.


Thankfully, the victim was not physically harmed during the incident.

Police are still searching for his car, however, and the man who stole it.

The offender is described as being Caucasian, aged about 25-years-old and having a slim build, hazel eyes and short blonde hair. Police said he was wearing a dark green basketball singlet at the time.

Anyone with any information that could assist police with their investigation is urged to come forward.
