DETECTIVES from the New South Wales Child Abuse Squad have arrested and charged a man with assaulting a baby.
About 11pm on Tuesday September 23, a seven-month-old boy was brought to Wyong Hospital, suffering significant injuries to his head and body.
After being examined by medical staff, he was transported to the Intensive Care Unit of the Sydney Children’s Hospital.

He’s since been transferred to a third hospital, where he continues to undergo treatment for his injuries.
Police were notified of the case and Strike Force Carousel was formed by The Entrance Child Abuse Squad to investigate the matter.
Following a number of inquiries, detectives today arrested a 32-year-old man from the Central Coast and charged him with reckless grievous bodily harm.
He’s been refused bail to appear in Wyong Local Court tomorrow.
