A MAN has been charged with attempted murder after a woman was stabbed several times in the neck, head and back in Acacia Ridge overnight.
Just before 7.30pm, six ambulance crews and police rushed to a home on Gemstone Crescent following reports a woman had been seriously assaulted.
Upon arrival, officers found the injured 26-year-old woman at the intersection of Gemstone Crescent and Gregory Street.

She was treated at the scene by the High Acuity Response Unit for stab wounds to her neck, head and back before being rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a serious condition.
A man, who was known to the woman, was taken into custody at a home on Gemstone Crescent a short time later.
The 36-year-old, who police say is from Kingston, has been charged with attempted murder, assault occasioning bodily harm and enter dwelling with intent.
He is due to appear in Brisbane Magistrates Court today.
