A 63-year-old man accused of procuring what he thought was a 14-year-old girl for sexual activity has been charged following an undercover police operation.
Detectives from the Child Abuse and Sex Crimes Squad’s Child Exploitation Internet Unit began engaging online with the man last month.
Police said the man allegedly “believed he was speaking to a 14-year-old girl and engaged in sexually-explicit conversations and made arrangements to meet the child in person.”

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court later today.
Police say investigations are continuing.
