Man crushed to death in ‘horrible accident’

A MAN has tragically died after being crushed by a car outside a home in Brisbane’s southeast.

The man was reportedly working on the vehicle in the driveway of the Belmont Road home at Belmont when tragedy struck about 12.45am on Friday.

Queensland Ambulance said the man sustained life-threatening injuries and died at the scene after becoming trapped under the vehicle.


A QAS spokesperson said the incident was “a horrible accident”.

Police have confirmed there are no suspicious circumstances surrounding the man’s death and will prepare a report for the information of the Coroner.

The man is believed to have been aged in his 40s.
