Man fighting for life after crashing into parked car in Merrimac

A man is fighting for life in hospital after crashing his car into the back of a parked vehicle in Merrimac on Tuesday.

It’s understood the man was driving east on Gooding Drive around 2.15pm when he lost control, veered off the road and into the back of the stationary vehicle.

The man behind the wheel suffered head and internal injuries and was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital for treatment.

The parked car contained a sole male occupant in the driver’s seat received minor injuries during the crash.

The Forensic Crash Unit has launched an investigation and is asking for any witnesses to come forward.

a very straight road that would take a massive distraction or substance abuse to result in losing control of a vehicle. Possibly weather affected also.

If it was from substance abuse it was probably one of the many legal ones like Methadone or the many prescription drugs this stupid Government allows people to drive under the influence of.
