Man fights for life after horror crash

A MAN is fighting for his life in hospital following a horror motorbike crash at Logan.

It happened on Kingston Road at Waterford West early on Saturday morning, police said.

The 47-year-old man sustained life-threatening injuries after losing control of his bike and crashing about 6.40am.

Paramedics worked to keep the rider alive at the scene before rushing him to hospital.

He was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a critical condition.

One southbound lane of Kingston Road was closed until 10am while emergency services responded.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.
