Man found stabbed to death near Sydney train station

A man is being questioned by Police after the body of another man was found near a Sydney train station.

Members of the public made the grim discovery around 6am on Saturday, near the Forrest Road entrance to Hurstville Station.

They phoned emergency services and a crime scene was set up.

Police say the man “had suffered severe lacerations”.

They arrested a man nearby, and seized an “edged weapon”.

He was taken to Kogarah Police Station, where he is assisting with inquiries.
