Man hit and killed by car outside pub

A MAN has tragically died after being run over by a car outside a pub in Brisbane overnight.

The 37-year-old was hit while crossing Berrima Street near the Waterloo Bay Hotel at Wynnum about 7pm.

Police said the man had just left an address on Berrima St when he was struck near the corner of Bay Terrace.


Sadly, the man sustained life-threatening injuries and could not be saved, police said.

Paramedics rushed to the scene but despite their efforts, the man died in the street.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.

Officers are speaking with the female driver of the car and will prepare a report for the Coroner.
