Man in court over Paradise Point knife attack

A MAN has been charged after he allegedly attacked another man with a knife at a home in Paradise Point at the weekend.

The violent scenes unfolded at a house on Oxley Drive just after 8.30am on Saturday.

Police said a 46-year-old man entered the home and was allegedly chased by another man known to him who was armed with a knife.


“An altercation allegedly occurred between the two men during which the 46-year-old man sustained a number of lacerations to his hand,” Qld police said in a statement.

The injured man then fled the scene, however was located by police a short time later and taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

His alleged attacker, a 38-year-old Pacific Pines man, was arrested by officers on Monday and charged with wounding.

He’s due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court today.
