Man injured in horror motorbike and car crash

A MOTORCYCLIST has been rushed to hospital after colliding with a car at Tugun.

The accident happened on the Gold Coast Highway, just after 3.00pm on Sunday.

Police say preliminary investigations indicate the motorcycle was turning left from Tugun-Currumbin Road when it crossed the median strip and collided with a car travelling south on the Highway.

The rider, a 47-year-old Tallai man, was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.

The driver of the car managed to escape uninjured.

Investigators are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the crash or who has dash cam vision of the incident to contact police.
