Homeowner bashed, kicked in the head after answering knock at the door

A MAN has been bashed and kicked in the head after answering a knock at the front door of his western Sydney home.

Police said two men knocked on front door of the man’s Tidswell Street home at St Mary’s around 11.40pm last night.

As the homeowner opened the door, the two men allegedly burst inside and started viciously beating him.

Police said the man, aged in his 60s, was kicked in the head during the brutal attack.

He suffered head injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene.

Police swooped on the area and tried searching for the man’s attackers, but they could not be found.
