Man kidnapped, driven around at gunpoint

A MAN has been abducted, bundled into a car and driven around at gunpoint before escaping, only to be chased down and bashed on the side of a road in Sydney’s southwest.

Two men have been arrested and charged over the attack in the suburb of Yagoona on Tuesday.

The pair is accused of abducting a 30-year-old man from a house on Warringa Street about 5.30pm before bundling him into a car at gunpoint and driving him around the suburb.

Police say the man managed to escape from the vehicle, only to be chased down and bashed.

Following investigations, two men aged 44 and 49 were arrested at Bankstown Police Station yesterday.

Both men have each since been charged with aggravated kidnapping, assault, and affray.

They’ve been remanded in custody and were due to appear in Bankstown Local Court later today.

Investigations continue as officers believe there may have been a third person involved.
