Man killed, another airlifted following horror head-on crash in NSW

A man is dead and another has been airlifted to hospital following a horror head-on crash near Nowra, on the NSW south coast.

The accident happened just after 7.30am this morning, when a car and truck towing a dog trailer collided on Braidwood Road at Yerriyong.

The 65-year-old driver of the truck was trapped in the cabin before he was eventually rescued by NSW Ambulance Rescue.


He was airlifted to St George Hospital suffering serious injuries.

The driver of the car died at the scene. He has not yet been identified.

Braidwood Road is closed between Albatross Road and Turpentine Road and local diversions are in place.
