Man killed, flung through air in horror bridge crash

A MAN has died after being catapulted through the air in a horror crash at Stonehenge, in Queensland’s Central West.

The 31-year-old was flung from his quad bike after colliding with the end of a bridge on Thomson Development Road, 150km southwest of Longreach, about 9.30pm last night.

Police said the man and his bike came to rest in the middle of the bridge.


A short time later, a vehicle collided with the quad bike and overturned.

Sadly, the 31-year-old man could not be saved and died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the accident.
