Driver killed in early morning crash

A MAN has been killed in a shocking single-vehicle crash in Sydney’s west.

It happened on the M7 at Cecil Hills just before 5am.

Police said a vehicle travelling south left the highway and rolled near the Elizabeth Drive off ramp.


The driver and sole occupant, a man believed to be aged in his 30s, was trapped in the wreckage.

Sadly, his injuries were too severe and he died at the scene, police said.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash.

One northbound and one southbound lane on the M7 remained closed at the time of writing.
