One dead in Gold Coast crash

A YOUNG man has been killed after the motorbike he was riding collided with a car on the Gold Coast.

It happened at the intersection of Coolangatta Road and Musgrave Street in Coolangatta about 8.15am.

The 29-year-old man from Palm Beach could not be saved and died at the scene, police said.

The 52-year-old man driving the car was not injured and stopped to help the rider.

Police are appealing for witnesses or motorists with relevant dash cam footage to come forward.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigation the circumstances surrounding the crash.
