Man repeatedly stabbed in vicious attack on Gold Coast bus

A man’s been rushed to hospital after being repeatedly stabbed in the upper body and head on the Gold Coast overnight.

The horrific attack happened on a bus in Varsity Lakes around 6.00pm on Monday.

Police say the 20-year-old victim was approached by another man who “made demands and threatened him” whilst they were travelling along Yodelay Street.


A fight broke out and the man was stabbed multiple times with a knife before his attacker fled with his backpack.

The 20-year-old man from Palm Beach was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or anything suspicious in the area at the time are urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
