A man has been rescued after his boat capsized in waters off Tweed Heads.
The 74-year-old set off from Dry Dock Rd on a fishing trip just before 7am on Wednesday but failed to return home.
He was reported missing around 4pm, sparking a search operation.

The Westpac Life Saver REscue Helicopter, Queensland Water Police and Volunteer Marine Rescue began looking for the man.
The upturned vessel was located just after 6pm by a nearby fishing vessel with the man spotted standing on the capsized boat.
He was rescued and taken to shore at Tweed Heads.
Paramedics treated him for minor cuts and dehydration.
Police have praised emergency services and members of the public for their help in the rescue operation.
