POLICE are investigating after a man was stabbed multiple times during an alleged home invasion in Southport on Thursday afternoon.
Paramedics were first called to the home on Terrigal Crescent, off Wardoo Street, around 3.45pm with reports two men had stormed the house and stabbed the occupant multiple times.
An ambulance spokesperson said a man, believed to be in his 30s, was being treated for two stab wounds to his back.

He was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Scores of police descended on the area, including the helicopter and dog squad, in an attempt to track down the intruders.
It’s believed they may have fled on foot through a neighbouring park.
Police investigations are continuing.
