Man stabbed near shopping centre dies in hospital

A YOUNG man has tragically died after being stabbed near a shopping centre in Sydney’s west.

The man, believed to be aged in his 20s, was found clinging to life on Fitzwilliam Street in Parramatta about 5am on Saturday.

Police said the man was suffering from a life-threatening stab wound near the Parramatta Westfield complex.


He was treated by paramedics at the scene but sadly their efforts were in vain.

The man was rushed to Westmead Hospital where police confirmed he died a short time later.

Three men were arrested on nearby Hassall Street and have been taken to Parramatta Police Station for questioning.

No charges have since been laid.
