Man stabbed to death, allegedly by his son

A MAN in his 20s has been charged with stabbing his father to death at his home in far western NSW.

Police and paramedics were called to a house on Wadsworth Drive in the small country town of Gol Gol, 12km north of Mildura, shortly after 6pm on Thursday.

They arrived to find a 59-year-old man inside the house, suffering from multiple stab wounds.

Sadly, despite the best efforts paramedics, the man could not be saved and died at the scene.

A crime scene was established and a dedicated strike force established to investigate the man’s death.

In a statement, a NSW Police spokesperson said the man’s 26-year-old son was arrested at the house and taken to Dareton Police Station for questioning.

He has since been charged with murder and was due to appear in Broken Hill Local Court today.
