Sadly, the 38-year-old man’s injuries were too severe and he could not be saved.

The man from Bundaberg North was pronounced deceased at the scene, police said.

A short time later, officers arrested the 29-year-old man at an address nearby.

He has since been charged with one count of murder and is due to appear in Bundaberg Magistrates Court tomorrow.

Anyone that may have been in the area at the time or has any information which may assist police with their investigation is urged to come forward.
