Man unable to be revived after being pulled from river

A MAN has tragically died following an incident in the Parramatta River in Sydney’s north.

The man’s body was pulled from the water near Ferry Street at Hunters Hill on Friday afternoon.

Police said they were called to reports of a man distressed on a mooring in the water at around 1pm.


Ambulance officers desperately tried to revive the man but he could not be saved and died at the scene.

Police are investigating the death but say there appears to be no suspicious circumstances.

A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
